How do I get through the phone menu to a real live person?

GetHuman researchers routinely call this Chase phone number to document the phone system.
Here is our latest tip for weaving through the phone menu to get to a real person the fastest: Calling this Chase number should go right to a real human being
Here is how our research team describes the way the Chase phone system greets you: A representative answered the line.
In fact, much of this information on this page is superfluous because this Chase phone number is a direct line to a human being. The line is well-staffed and you should anticipate a very short wait on hold or none whatsoever, as long as you are calling during business hours.
We don't know of any phone menus you would encounter when calling either.

What are the hours and when should I call?

Chase operates the call center for this 713-262-3300 phone number 24 hours, 7 days. The short answer is that you should call on a Monday. This observation and the following section are based on analysis of a sample set of 15,963 calls made in the last 90 days using our free, web-based phone (see above).
An important note: busy times vs hold times vs best time to call
When we refer to busy or less busy times, we are talking about the volume of calls. The busiest times are when the most people are calling this Chase phone number (least busy times have fewer people calling). This high call volume does not necessarily mean that you will have a long hold time when you call. Companies like Chase staff their call centers differently based on the time of day and day of the week, so you may experience a shorter wait on hold at the busiest of times. When we refer to the best time to call, we are referring to the optimal combination of lower call volume and shorter wait times.

The least busy time to call

The least busy day to call Chase is Monday. The most busy day to call is Friday. Again, this is based on a sample of 15,963 calls made with our AI-powered, web-based phone in the last 90 days.

The shortest wait on hold

We measured the shortest hold times to be on Wednesday. The longest wait in the queue on average occurs on Thursday.

The best time to call

In summation, the best day to call Chase is Monday. This is not the day with the shortest wait on hold in the phone system, but we still recommend it for its ideal combination of low call volume and short hold times. Plus we believe that Chase staffs the call center well on Monday.
Once again, please put this information in perspective because this phone number has no phone menu or long waits. It generally gets picked up right away if calling during their opening hours. If there is any way, it will typically be very short.

Calling this Chase Customer Number

Nov 7, 2023

This Chase customer service number is intended to help customers calling from outside the United States. Specifically, this number is set up to assist customers with Chase checking and savings accounts who believe they may be victims of fraud or identity theft.

When I called this number, I was greeted by a pre-recorded message informing me that all customer service agents were busy helping other customers. I was told the wait time to speak to an agent was more than 15 minutes. Chase does offer a callback service that allows you to request an agent return your call when they become available.

I chose the callback option and was told that my call would be returned in 21 minutes. Helpfully, the system informs you what number the agent will be calling from, making it easy to screen for the callback. In my case, the call came more quickly than anticipated — a Chase customer service agent rang back in just under 10 minutes.

Although I had called the number intended for international customers, the Chase representative I spoke with had no issue with the fact that I am located in the United States. Likewise, although the number is advertised as being specifically for issues with checking and savings accounts, the representative was also able to access information about my Chase credit card accounts.

Despite the fact the number I called from (and received a callback on) is connected to all of my Chase accounts, I was required to provide personal information about myself to confirm my identity. This will likely be comforting for most callers, particularly since some will be calling about fraud issues.

The representative I spoke with was friendly and accommodating. She was able to answer questions about several different accounts I have with Chase (including a checking account and a credit card account). She did note that under certain circumstances, I might need to be transferred to a different department to resolve my issue. For instance, if I'd called to report a lost card, she would have to internally transfer my call to another representative.

Customers might be calling Chase about a host of issues related to their banking and credit accounts, from suspected fraud to closing an account to requesting a new card. Based on my experience, a Chase customer service representative would be able and willing to help with any of those issues.

If the purpose of your call is to report suspected fraud, identity theft, or unauthorized charges on your account, you'll need to speak directly to a Chase representative. They can investigate the situation and, if necessary, put a hold or cancellation request on the affected account.
