Introduction

If you are struggling to pay your Verizon FiOS bill then you need to set up a payment arrangement. Doing so lets Verizon know that you are going to pay the bill and so allows you to avoid getting your service interrupted. There are a few different ways you have to set up your payment arrangement.

What You'll Need

There is no fee to set up a payment arrangement online, by using the Verizon app, or by going to a Verizon store and making one in person. However, if you call a Verizon representative to make one, you will have to pay a $10 fee.Making a payment arrangement will not stop any late payment fees from being assessed. If you make your payment after the due date, you will have to pay a late payment fee.You may be able to split the money you owe into two payments, instead of having to pay it all at once. You must be either the account owner or an account manager to set up a payment arrangement. You can set up a payment arrangement even if your bill is already past due. However, if you know that you are going to have a problem paying it on time, it is best to set it up before the due date. This eliminates the chance that your service will be shut off for non-payment.
If your service has already been shut off due to non-payment, making a payment arrangement will not get it turned back on. Only paying your bill in full will do that.
