VPNs can interfere with proper access to your account information.Your initial claim can take up to 4 weeks to process. If your claim has unusual complications, or if you did not provide all necessary information, it can take even longer to process.Even if your claim is approved, benefits for your first week of unemployment will not be paid. Instead, the first week serves simply as a waiting period.To remain eligible for unemployment benefits, you must recertify every week.If you believe that your unemployment benefits should have been higher, you may be able to use the Request for Reconsideration form to challenge the determination, if you can prove that you had employment and earnings during the base period that were not accounted for or if the wages in your claim form were incorrect. Pay stubs for the periods in question would be a big help in getting the determination changed.

If no payment has been released, your claim may simply not have been processed yet.
