  7. Click "Check Status" to get information on where your refund is in the process.

Text Alerts

Once you have gone online to view the status of your return, you can sign up for text alerts when anything happens involving your refund. You have to request the alerts through the Missouri Return Inquiry System; you will then be notified each time the status of your return changes.

Paid Tax Preparation Service

If you used a tax preparation service such as an accountant or a commercial tax preparation business, you can generally obtain status tax return updates from the preparation service. Alerts can come to you via email or text letting you know when the status of your return has changed.
