You fly with JetBlue Airlines because the company offers great prices and good customer service. However, you have never altered a flight before, so you are unsure of how to change a flight.

Fortunately, it is possible to make changes to your JetBlue Airlines flight, providing you have purchased the correct fare. Although, depending on your booking, there may be associated costs.

Which bookings are eligible for voluntary changes?


Unfortunately, if you have purchased a Blue Basic fare, your flight is not eligible for cancellations or changes. Therefore, you need to make a new booking.

Blue & Blue Plus fares are eligible for changes. However, you will be required to pay a fee.

The Blue & Blue Plus fares are as follows:

  • $75 per-person fee for fares under $100
  • $100 per-person fee for fares $100 - $149.99
  • $150 per-person fee for fares $150 - $199.99
  • $200 per-person fee for fares $200 or more

If you have purchased a Blue Extra fare, your booking will be eligible for changes and cancelations, and you will not need to pay any fees to make these changes.

How To Change A Flight Online:

If your flight is eligible for changes, you can make these changes via the JetBlue website.

First, visit the website homepage and log into your account. To log in, select the "Sign In" link, which is located in the top right-hand corner of the page. Then, enter your email address and password, and click the blue "Sign In" button.

Manage Your Trip:

Once you have successfully signed in, hover over the "My Trips" tab, which is located in the main navigation bar at the top of the JetBlue Airlines homepage. You should now see a drop-down menu, from the menu, click on the "Manage Trips" option.

To change a flight, select the trip you would make alterations to. You should now be able to make changes to your seat allocation and flight times.

Make the necessary changes and pay the appropriate fee to confirm your JetBlue Airlines flight change.

Change A Flight Over The Phone:

If you would prefer to talk to a customer representative who can make changes to your account over the phone, you can do so by contacting JetBlue directly.

To find the customer service number for JetBlue, navigate to the official website and scroll to the bottom of the homepage. Under the "Get To Know Us" heading, select the "Contact Us" hyperlink.

On the contact page, click on the drop-down button that corresponds to the part of the world you are calling from and call the relevant phone number.
