Setting Up Bill Pay With JP Morgan Chase

Here is a detailed guide on how to enroll and use Bill Pay with JP Morgans Chase.

1. Enable Online Banking

Bill Pay is only accessed through online banking, hence the need to set up an online banking profile.

  • Go to JP Morgan Chase's official website and select "Online Banking." Click "Enroll Now."
  • Follow the prompts to enter your personal details, including your name, accounts to access, address and other relevant information.
  • Enter your username and create a unique password for your online banking profile.
  • Go through the terms and conditions before submitting.
  • Once your profile is set up, you can log into your account to access online banking services.

2. Add Payee

While logged on to your online account, select Bill Pay at the top of the page to add the payees. Payees are individuals or organizations you want to pay.

  • Select "Bill Pay."
  • Click "Add Payee."

3. Scheduling Payments

  • Select "Bill Pay" then "Payee."
  • Clicking on Payee gives access to a drop-down list of all payees where you can choose the payee to pay.
  • Add the amount to be paid and the due date in the relevant boxes.
  • Designate the payment as either a one-time payment or proceed to create an automatic payment schedule.
  • For automatic payments, enter the frequency (weekly, monthly or annually) and the end date.
  • Customers with multiple accounts are also required to choose the account from which funds are deducted for each bill.
  • Select "Submit."

Submitting this information means payments will be made automatically from JP Morgan Chase accounts to relevant payees on specific dates.
