How Do I Cancel a Recurring Bill Payment with Capital One?

Log in to the account to cancel a recurring bill payment with Capital One. Select Transactions from the menu. Scroll to Available Services and click Bills. Locate the recurring bill payment you'd like to cancel and click on it. On the next page, select Cancel this Bill Payment. Select Cancel This Recurring Bill Payment when you receive a prompt.

Capital One lets you make recurring bill payments, and saves your preferred payment method and account information. You can cancel a payment on Capital One's website if you decide a recurring payment isn't right for you. 

Here are the steps to cancel a recurring bill payment with Capital One.

1. Log Into Your Account at Capital One

When you visit Capital One's website, go to Manage My Account. Clicking on this link will take you to Capital One's login page.

Log in to your Capital One account. Select Payment Settings. You'll see your recurring payments. Find the payment you want to cancel and click on it.

2. Click Payments and Billing

Click the Payment Type drop-down menu and choose Recurring Payment. Choose the account number for which you want to make a change or cancel a recurring payment.

Choose the billing date of your recurring payment. Click Edit Recurring Payment. Make any changes you want to the recurring payment and click Save Changes.

3. Select Manage Recurring Payments

Start by logging into your Capital One account and clicking Payments and Billing. Select the View All Payments link to enter the list of your recurring payments. Find the payment you want to cancel and click the Details button.

4. Choose the Payment You Want To Cancel

Select View All Payments to enter the list of your recurring payments. Locate the payment to cancel. Choose the option for Cancel this Payment.

5. Confirm Cancellation

On this page, see existing recurring payments you have set up and scheduled. On each payment is a link that reads Cancel Recurring Payment.

Select that link to bring up a window asking for confirmation that you want to cancel the recurring payment. Confirm again by clicking OK to cancel this payment. You have canceled this recurring payment.
