If you've been in an accident or had damage done to your vehicle, the last thing you want to worry about is a complicated process to file a claim and get it approved.

Thankfully, AAA has made submitting a claim after an accident simple and easy by allowing you to call into the 24/7 helpline.

If you have a claim, just call AAA at any time on the helpline number. The customer service representatives answer any questions you have and assist you in selecting applicable coverages and benefits.


Filing a Claim With AAA Over the Telephone

In the event of an accident, follow the below process so you have all the information you need when submitting the claim:

  1. Call 911 to get medical assistance if needed. When the police arrive, only discuss the accident with them, do not discuss it with anyone else.
  2. Make sure you get the contact details of all passengers, drivers and witnesses involved.
  3. Collect any documentation you need and take pictures of the accident scene and vehicle from all angles.
  4. Report the claim as soon as soon as you can by contacting the 24/7 call center.

When you report the accident, provide all the information about the accident. These details may include where and when the crash happened, the drivers and vehicles involved, the police report case number, and the contact information of witnesses. The representative can also explain the benefits of your policy such as whether it pays for a rental car and towing services if your car requires repairs.

  1. Your vehicle will be towed to your chosen repair shop,
  2. You can arrange for a family member to be contacted on your behalf by AAA,
  3. If you have coverage for a rental vehicle as part of your policy, AAA will arrange this for you and get the vehicle to you,
  4. Your claim will be completed with you at your convenience so it is one less thing to worry about when you are ready for it.
