Introduction

A TransUnion Credit Report includes a detailed summary of your credit history as well as your financial reliability. It includes your personal information and details of who attempted to request access to your account. If you see inaccurate information or fraudulent activity on your account, consider filing a dispute with TransUnion so they can resolve the problem. To file a dispute, read this guide for the detailed steps.

Create or Log in To Your Account First

Please enter the username and password associated with your account.

Log In Another Way

If you have forgotten your username and password, you can sign in to your TransUnion account by using your full social security number, last name, and date of birth.

If you don't have an account yet, create an account with TransUnion using this link: https://service.transunion.com/dss/orderStep1_form.page

Fill out the required fields and tap 'I Accept' and then 'Continue' to Step 2. Then follow the on-screen instructions to successfully set up an account with TransUnion. Having an account means you can start a dispute, request a credit report, add or remove a fraud alert, and temporarily lift a free credit freeze on your account.

Start a Dispute

Thoroughly review your credit report to determine if there is a need to file a dispute. If you paid off a balance, you need to wait until the next monthly statement for it to be reflected in your account. If you still don't see it reflected on your account after the next statement, you may consider starting a Dispute. Some of the things you can dispute include inquiries on your account that you don't recognize, fraudulent activities on your account, student loans, and personal information. Note that you will be unable to dispute your credit score, but TransUnion can help you understand why you got a certain score in your credit report.

Once logged in to the TransUnion Service Center, tap Dispute to start the Dispute process and follow the on-screen instructions.
