Are you planning to pause or place a vacation hold on your New York Times account? You can do this at any time. Note that once your New York Times subscription is paused, you can't make changes to your account. Subscribers can pause their subscriptions for a period of 4 or 8 weeks at a time. You can't access NYT once your account is paused, but you also won't be charged for it. If you're going on vacation and prefer to stop reading the New York Times, read this guide for the step-by-step instructions on how to pause your subscription.

Select Pause Subscription

You need to sign in to your account to get to the Subscription page. Do note that if you have multiple subscriptions with the NYT, you need to pause each subscription.

Choose a Duration

You can pause your New York Times subscription for 4 weeks or 8 weeks. Select one and tap Continue.

Tap Confirm

Make sure to review the pause before confirming it. And as mentioned, if you also subscribe to Games or Cooking, you will need to pause the subscription individually.

Please wait for the email confirming the pause of your New York Times subscription. If you don't get an email from the NYT, consider contacting them about your issue.
