In a nutshell: To delete a Match account subscription, you have the option to cancel the subscription (auto-renewal) or the membership (hides your profile but keeps your data). Canceling the subscription does not refund unused time, and the account remains available for future use.

Canceling your subscription is not the same thing as canceling your membership. Canceling your subscription essentially just cancels the auto-renewal feature. You will no longer be able to use the site, but your account will still be there, ready for you to sign into again, if you ever want to reactivate it. Canceling your membership also hides your photos and profile, although Match will retain your data in case you ever want to reopen your account again.After canceling your subscription, even after canceling your membership, you can always renew your subscription by simply signing into Match and following the prompts.You can choose to cancel individual features of your subscription without canceling your full subscription. Just go to Manage Subscription, choose the Subscription Status option, and click on the "Deactivate" option next to the feature you want to disable.After you cancel your subscription, it will remain active until the end of your current subscription period. You cannot get a partial refund for the remainder of the time in your current subscription period.
