Introduction

If you suddenly find that you can't get the Boost Mobile wireless service coverage, you probably want to help get it up and running again right away. To do that, you have to make Boost Mobile aware of the problem, so it can start the repair process as quickly as possible. Before you do that, though, there are some other things you need to check on first. After all, the problem might not actually be a service outage.

What You'll Need

If you have an important call to make before your service can be repaired, you can always try borrowing somebody else's phone. If that isn't possible, try to use wi-fi calling on your phone. Wi-fi calling lets you use your wi-fi connection to make calls. So, if you still have wi-fi data you haven't used up yet, you can still make your call. This might be the only way you can report the outage. To turn wi-fi calling on, go to the Settings menu.

Set wi-fi calling as your backup calling method, so you can always easily use your phone even in case of an outage.

Check your phone to see if it is airplane mode.

It makes sense to see if your phone is the source of the problem, instead of a service outage, before reporting a service outage. It is possible that you forgot to turn off airplane mode after your last flight, or that an update accidentally switched it on. If it is in airplane mode, turn it off.

Check to see if your phone is in Do Not Disturb mode.

If it is, switch it off.

Turn your phone off and on again.

This can solve a surprising number of problems.

Go to the Boost Mobile home page.

Go to your account page.

Check to see if your service has been suspended because of a past due bill or some other issue.

If nothing else has fixed the problem, take your SIM card out of your phone and put it back in again.

Follow your phone manufacturer's instructions for doing so, the procedure varies from phone to phone.

Call a Boost Mobile customer service representative and inform them of the service outage in your area.

You should also tell them about the steps you took to see if the problem was with your phone.

Conclusion

Once you tell the company about the outage, Boost Mobile will get technicians to discover exactly what the problem is and where, dispatching a repair team as quickly as it can. All you need to do from here on out is keep checking to see if your wireless service is back on yet. If you have any concerns while you are waiting, call Boost Mobile's customer service for help.
