Zoosk is an online dating app that uses behavioral matchmaking technology to provide users with good matches. It offers free membership as well as paid subscriptions, which include profile boosts and incognito mode. It's easy to sign up, and you can also easily deactivate or permanently remove your account with Zoosk. If you no longer want to use this dating app and prefer to deactivate your profile, read the helpful guide below. We detailed the steps on how to deactivate your account with Zoosk.
Log in to your Zoosk account using your email address and password. You can also log in with Google and Facebook, whichever platform you used when signing up. If you don't remember your password, tap Forgot Password and follow the instructions to reset it. Don't forget to also check the "I am Human" box before clicking Log In.
You can find this by tapping on My Profile, found in the upper-right corner of the page.
If your decision to deactivate your account is final, tap Deactivate.
Before deactivating your Zoosk account, make sure to cancel your active subscription. Note that you’ll need to wait until your remaining subscription days expire. If you signed up through iTunes or an Apple device, cancel your subscription before deactivating your account.
To confirm deactivation, click on Deactivate again. Otherwise, tap Keep Looking if you wish to continue using Zoosk. You will also be asked to select a reason for deactivating the account. Just choose the best option and deactivate your account.
Do you plan to also permanently remove your account with Zoosk? You'll need to send an email to their support team for the permanent deletion of your account. Note that permanent deletion can't be reversed, which means that the data stored will not be restored later. After sending an email, a customer service representative will usually get back in touch within 24 hours to confirm the permanent removal of your account with Zoosk. Only records of your correspondence with Zoosk and the purchases you made will be kept. All other data, such as your name, gender, email address, user name, age, search criteria, member communication, and other profile data are deleted permanently.
If you plan to deactivate your Zoosk account, follow the steps above. Note that Zoosk also allows users to pause their accounts if they wish to take a break. When your account is paused, Zoosk will hide your profile, but you still have access to message history and connections. But you can't receive messages, notifications, and emails from Zoosk or Zoosk members. To pause your account, go back to Account Settings and Tap Account Status, then select Pause.
