How do I manage users in Google Apps?

Asked 5 months ago
Managing users in Google Apps, now often referred to as Google Workspace, involves utilizing the admin console, which serves as the central hub for user management. Administrators can access this console by logging into their Google Workspace account and navigating to admin.google.com. Once in the admin console, administrators can add new users by selecting the "Users" section. Here, they can input necessary details such as the user's name, email address, and other relevant information. Additionally, it is possible to assign roles, which determine the level of access and permissions a user will have within the workspace. To modify existing users, the admin can simply click on the user’s name within the "Users" section to access their settings. From there, adjustments can be made, such as changing user roles, updating contact information, or even resetting passwords. Deleting users is also manageable, and administrators can achieve this by selecting the user and choosing the delete option. It is important to note that when a user account is deleted, files and data associated with that account may also be removed, so it is wise to back up any necessary information beforehand. For more specific inquiries or detailed guidance, administrators might want to consult the Google Workspace help articles or the support section on the current web page.
