How can I disable or enable Avast temporarily?

Asked 6 months ago
To temporarily disable or enable Avast, you can follow a few simple steps. First, locate the Avast icon in the system tray, which is typically found in the bottom-right corner of your screen. Right-click on the Avast icon to open a context menu that presents various options. When you right-click, you will see an option labeled "Avast shields control." Hover your mouse over this option, and a submenu will appear that allows you to choose how long you wish to disable the shields. You can select options such as disabling the shields for ten minutes, until the computer is restarted, or until you choose to enable them again. After making your selection, Avast will temporarily disable its protective features. To enable Avast again, simply right-click on the Avast icon in the system tray and navigate back to the "Avast shields control" option. From there, you will see an option to turn the shields back on. It is always recommended to check the official Avast website or the help section for the most current instructions and detailed information.
