Introduction

If you placed an order with Wayfair and realized too late that you made a mistake, you might still be able to change the order. You'll have to act fast, though, because you probably don't have a lot of time to do it. Depending on the shipping status of the item you ordered, you may be able to change the delivery address, the delivery date, and even cancel the order to try placing it again again from scratch.

What You'll Need

Items placed with Clearplay or Klarna are not eligible for delivery address change.Items shipped with small carriers like Evri, UPS, GLS, and DPD are not eligible for delivery address change.Items processed at an express warehouse are not eligible for delivery address change.Made to Order Item orders cannot be canceled.No order can be canceled after the warehouse has labeled it as ready for collection. In most cases, this gives you only a very narrow window for canceling your order.Cancellation requests cannot be undone.You should receive a refund within 3 to 5 days of your cancellation.

Go to the Wayfair home page and click on the Sign In link in the upper right corner, then sign into your account.

Go to My Account.

Select My Orders.

From hwere you make any changes you need to your order.

Find the order you want to change in your list of orders.

Changing the delivery address: Click on the View/Edit Details option.

Changing the delivery address: Press the purple Change Address button next to the item in question.

If no button appears then this item is not eligible for delivery address change.

Changing the delivery address: Change the address by proviiding all the requested information.

The address might change immediately after you take this step. Or it could take up to two business days if the company decides to review the request.

Changing the delivery date: To change the delivery date, click on the button that says Update Delivery information on the My Orders page.

Changing the delivery date: Enter all required information.

Canceling the order: Click on the Cancel button next to the order you want to cancel.

If the button is not present, it is too late to cancel your order. Once you have canceled the order, the copany may take until the end of the following business day to actually put your cancellation through. While it is processing your cancellation, your order page should say "Pending Cancellation."

Conclusion

If it is too late to cancel your order, you can always try returning it after you receive it and applying for a refund. A return fee may apply. If you cannot change the delivery address or date, you can contact the company to leave delivery instructions with the order, which will hopefully be enough for you to get the order safely even if you cannot be there when the delivery is made.
