If you recently lost your job or your employer reduced your working hours, apply for unemployment benefits with the California Employment Development Department (EDD). You may be eligible if you earned wages in the past 18 months and lost your job through no fault of your own. Applicants may also qualify to receive unemployment benefits if they have a Social Security number, are authorized to work in the United States, are either totally or partially employed, and are physically able to work. Sign in to Your Account

If you applied online, the easiest way to check the status of your unemployment benefit application is by logging in to your account. Sign in with your email address and password, or tap Forgot Password if you forgot your login credentials.

Go to Payment Activity

You can view all payments for your claim in the Payment Activity section.
